What is the MedPartnership?

The Strategic Partnership for the Mediterranean Sea Large Marine Ecosystem (MedPartnership) is a collective effort of leading environmental institutions and organizations together with countries sharing the Mediterranean Sea to address the main environmental challenges that Mediterranean marine and coastal ecosystems face.

The main objectives of the PAP/RAC activities

To facilitate strengthening of legal, institutional and policy framework for integrated coastal zone management (ICZM) of the Mediterranean countries;
To contribute in preparing national ICZM Strategies and plans; and
To provide assistance to countries in introducing/strengthening the use of the ICZM methodology, practices and tools, through capacity building and implementation of replicable demonstration actions
